This uplifting workshop will help you discover everything you need to know to turn your practice upside down.

 We’ve all experienced that finding your balance when you’re upright can be tricky, but it’s an entirely different ball game when your whole perspective and body is upside down. Consequently inversions can be daunting and it can be difficult to know where to start.

This workshop will give you the guidance and confidence to challenge yourself and give you tools to take back into class with you.

Carlos Mendez was born in Mexico City but has lived in the United States for most of his life. He started his practice in 2003 after losing a business he had grown over the years. Carlos has been teaching yoga for over 11 years now and has taught in Europe, Hong Kong, the US and Mexico. Carlos trained with Kumar Pallana who was an actor/entertainer in the 1930s and 1940s. Kumar started his yoga practice at the age of 6, mastered the handstands by the age of 13 and went on to become one of the top entertainers in the world.

Carlos' teaching is based on the philosophy that in order to accomplish complex tasks we must build up to them one small step at a time. We can apply these principles to the yoga practice and gradually build up to the advanced practices. The practice is also based on uniting or yoking attention, breath, and movement in the body to create a solid foundation for our yoga practice.
